Engine (Power)
All the Pacifica models come with the same 3.6-liter V-6 engine. This generates 287 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque, and Chrysler pairs it up with a nine-speed automatic transmission and front wheel drive. Chrysler also offers the Pacifica in a hybrid model that uses the same 3.6-liter V-6 along with two electric motors.
Performance
The Pacifica is competitive within its class when it comes to fuel-efficiency. You can expect to get 22 miles per gallon combined with 18 mpg in the city and 28 mpg on the highway. The new transmission shifts smoothly through the gears and contributes to the improved fuel economy. The hybrid model will go up to 33 miles on pure electric power and gets a combined fuel economy of 32 mpg. The comfortable suspension and sharp steering keep the Pacifica firmly on the road when driving around corners, and the quiet cabin blocks out much of the road noise.
Interior
The Pacifica's cabin is stylish and functional. Both the second and third-row seats are large enough to comfortably sit adults, and some models come with a removable center seat so you can fit either seven or eight passengers. The lower trims have a five-inch touchscreen display while the higher trims come with an 8.4-inch screen, the Uconnect infotainment system, a rear seat entertainment system with 10-inch screens and a Blu-ray player, HDMI inputs, and a 115-volt power outlet. The higher trims also have sunshades for the second and third rows and extra storage bins.
Safety Features
All trims come with a rearview camera and brake-rotor drying. The LX and Touring models offer the option for rear parking sensors and these come standard in the rest of the trims. You can add the Advanced SafetyTec Group to the Touring-L Plus and the Limited to get automatic high beams, automatic wipers, lane departure warning with mitigation, and forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking. This package also adds adaptive cruise control and a 360-degree top-down camera and automated parking.
