The Laredo comes standard with a 3.6-liter V-6 engine that generates 295 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. The Limited trim and above offer the option for the 3.6-liter or one of the two larger engines. The first is a 5.7-liter V-8 with 360 horsepower and 390 pound-feet of torque, and the second is a 3.0-liter diesel V-6 that produces 240 horsepower and 420 pound-feet of torque.

The Jeep Grand Cherokee will tackle any road surface and any conditions with ease, but it doesn't sacrifice on-road comfort to do it. Its high ground clearance and choice of 4-wheel drive systems give drivers plenty of options, and none of the engines are lacking in power. The noise canceling acoustic glass keeps the ride quiet for a pleasant on-road experience. The best performer when it comes to fuel-efficiency is the V-6 turbo diesel. This engine will get 22 miles per gallon in the city and 30 mpg on the highway with two-wheel drive and 21/28 mpg with four-wheel drive.

This SUV has room for up to five passengers and a cabin that is comfortable and practically luxurious in the higher trims. The cargo space is impressive for the vehicle's size with 36.3 cubic feet behind the rear seats and 68.3 cubic feet with the seats folded down. The lower trims have a five-inch touchscreen display, Bluetooth, and both a USB port and an auxiliary jack, while the higher trims come with a larger 8.4-inch touchscreen and the Uconnect infotainment system. Choose the Overland for HD radio, navigation, and leather seats, or the Summit for upgraded leather, a self-parking system, and active noise canceling technology.

All the Grand Cherokee models come standard with a rearview camera and rear parking sensors. The Summit adds extra driver assist safety systems such as adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, and forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking. These additional safety systems are available as extra options on most of the lower trims.
